Rog
conducted an all day training program for the staff of
the Valley
Youth House of Bethlehem, PA. The
mission of Valley Youth House is to provide prevention and
intervention services, counseling, life skills and
behavioral health services to abused, neglected, and
homeless youth and their families. Their programs foster
positive growth enabling at risk youth and their families
to become healthy, productive, responsible members of the
community. In May
2011,Rog entertained some of the youths with a music and
comedy show. The kids were a great audience and ranged in
age from eight to eighteen. Rog presented to the
dedicated staff members the following day, demonstrating
how and why humor can be a powerful and effective work
tool.

In June
2011 Rog Bates was again busy with travels and
presentations. His talks include one for the
Behavioral Health Services Division of the Danville
and Pittsylvania Counties in VA. Rog found this
group of several hundred receptive and energetic. He
was impressed with their strong sense of humor
and their energy and support for one another as a
team. James Bebeau, Executive Director of
Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services is certainly
well liked by his staff.
